Tim Leferink and Sam Veldman Dutch national sidecar cross champion!
Tim Leferink and Sam Veldman have become national Dutch sidecar cross champions 2019. Leferink/Veldman managed to outlast their nearest opponents Vaerenberg/Roes twice and they twice won the last two heats of 2019 during the National Championship finals on the Zuurberg in Holten. Vaerenberg/Roes could do nothing other than finish second twice. However, this also earned them a deserved second place in the final results of the National Sidecar Cross Championships.
Van Dijk/Van der Putten had a bad day in Holten, but they were nevertheless able to maintain their third place in the final standings of the 2019 National Sidecar Cross Championships.
Heat 1
Stalman/Van Leuken took the holeshot with behind them both sidecars that fought for the Dutch title, Vaerenberg/Roes and Leferink/Veldman. The latter were soon able to advance to first place and then the young duo rode away from the competition to win the first round by a wide margin and thus take a big step towards the title. Vaerenberg/Roes then finished second and Stalman/Van Leuken saw their holeshot converted into third place at the finish. This after a tough duel with home rider Vos/Hoessen, who had initially taken third place, but had to give up the place to Stalman/Van Leuken when doubling slower participants.
Heat 2
Leferink/Veldman would only need fifteenth place in the second heat to become champions. However, the young fast duo finished their title fight in style. They resolutely took the holeshot and rode the competition to pieces, later crossing the finish line first, cheering, awaited by family and supporters who were waiting for the new national sidecar cross champions of 2019 with champagne, confetti and blue smoke. Once again Vaerenberg did everything right, but he had to acknowledge his superiority in the new Dutch champion with baking player Roes. Vaernberg/Roes could, however, be satisfied after a somewhat poor start to the season, which was clearly converted into resounding results in the second half, meaning they said goodbye to Holten as vice-national sidecar cross champion 2019. Tjoelker's Frisian sidecar cross team would finish third in the second heat after a nice battle with Vos/Hoessen in the early stages of the second heat.
Van Dijk/Van der Putten remained at the starting gate but rode a hell of a catch-up race and finished sixth and deservedly third in the final results of the 2019 national Dutch sidecar cross championship.
