Cervical fracture for Everts but has feeling in all limbs
Early this morning the penultimate Grand Prix motocross of this year was held in China. Liam Everts finished fourth in the first series. During the opening phase of series two Lucas Coenen and Everts got into a rut together, causing the man from Lummen to be catapulted over the handlebars and end up under his machine.
The medical services were almost immediately on the scene and stabilized the unfortunate Lummenaar. He was then taken to a hospital. Everts long under his running engine after the crash and then received assistance from the medical team.
In the hospital, a fracture was diagnosed in a cervical vertebra. He was briefly numb after the crash, but then the feeling quickly returned to all limbs. Lucas Coenen was also shocked by the crash and told Lisa Leyland after the series that he hoped that nothing was serious with Liam.
The crash was a pure racing incident and no one is to blame. The fact has of course consequences for Team Belgium for the MXoN but the most important thing is that Liam Everts will be fine. The entire editorial team of MXMag wishes him a speedy recovery.
