A week before the FIM Junior World Championship, the KNMV Open Dutch 125cc Championship was a guest at the Heerde circuit. The race went well for the Belgians because Douwe Van Mechgelen (3-1) managed to win the race ahead of compatriot Jarne Bervoets (2 -3). The Latvian Jekabs Kubulins (1-5) completed the podium on the 'Circuit De Kamperweg'. Mike Visser had a difficult day, but the GasGas driver remains the leader in the standings. The championship continues on September 8 at the Meijel circuit.
