During the twelfth Grand Prix, Calvin Vlaanderen was back on the podium. The Yamaha rider finished third and thus consolidated fourth place in the standings. Teammate Andrea Bonacorsi also performed well on the island of Lombok. Both KEMEA Racing riders (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP) look back on the race.

“Last week I finally took another podium place after two years of waiting. And now I'll add one right away. Very beautiful of course. It was a very solid weekend. In the first series I felt really strong. I was able to follow Prado well and passed him in the final phase. That gave my confidence an extra boost. In the second series I rode a strong first lap. Then I tried to catch up at the front, but those two guys were a little too fast. Fortunately, I also had a nice gap and was able to secure third place. A great weekend again!”

“Man, this was a tough weekend. However, I had two good starts in the heats. Always in the top ten, even close to the top five. But I always had a relapse. I suffered greatly from the heat and high humidity. I felt the energy and strength ebbing away. It was really a battle with my body. Regrettably. Now back home, catch my breath and keep working hard because I want to fly back into the Czech Republic at full speed.”
