Since last weekend there has been a benefit auction on Facebook to benefit the recovery of former motocross rider Tim Smeuninx. There are many unique items for sale, worn and signed, by Tim Gajser, Liam Everts, Romain Febre, Jeffrey Herlings, Antonio Cairoli, among others. The items of sidecar cross world champions Etienne Bax, Sven Verbrugge, Marvin Vanluchene and Jan Hendrickx are also for sale. In addition, some unique items from other sports such as the skates of figure skater Loena Hendrickx and the jerseys of Jasper Philipsen, Thibeau and Sven Nys.

The auction is for the benefit of ex-Grand Prix baking player Tim Smeunicx. The 'Smeu' was struck by a terrible nerve disease last year and is hard at work recovering. To learn to walk again, treatment in a robot suit is used. This is not cheap and is unfortunately not reimbursed by insurers. To help Tim get started as quickly as possible, people from his immediate environment have set up a benefit and this auction.

The auction can be found on Facebook page Benefit Tim Smeuninx and it will run until June 30:
