The manufacturers CAOFEN, STARK, EBMX and of course HONDA are testing the limits of what could be the future of the Motocross World Championship in the E-Xplorer FIM World Cup. Of course, the entire transformation will not happen tomorrow, but history has taught us that developments at the Japanese engine giant HONDA are followed with suspicion by all other manufacturers in Europe, Asia and America.

It therefore seems that 2024 could be the year of the breakthrough of electric motorcycles and E-bikes. Our Belgian organizers do not want to miss the proverbial train, because this development in the MX landscape can offer solutions in a densely populated Flanders to give the still existing circuits breathing space.

The E-Xplorer FIM World Cup has competitions in Japan, Norway, France, Switzerland and India. Closer to home, the second round of the Belgian E-bike championship will be held on Saturday, June 8, at the Breugelheide in Lille, Belgium. All E-bike classes, EX1 (electric bicycles with a throttle and without pedals), EX2 (electric bicycles with a throttle and pedals) and EX3 (electric bicycles without a throttle and with pedals) are planned. Riders with an EX 'heavy' machine (electric dirt bikes) will also have a competition for the wheels.

The fact that the operators of MC-Lille have a heart for the sport is evident from the time set aside in the program to also offer MX for Kids the opportunity to get to know the sport.
