Earlier this year, Max Spies had to miss matches due to back problems. During the Italian Grand Prix, the German was involved in a crash in the second moto. At first he wanted to continue driving but he didn't feel well. It quickly became clear to the medical facilities that it was internal bleeding. The KTM rider was transported by helicopter to hospital where the bleeding stopped. Spies was then sent home to report to his own doctor the next day. A fracture in the hip was found there, which appears to be three months old and is causing back pain.

Spies will not be in action in the coming weeks, it is still unclear when he will be able to get back on the bike!
