Jagielski win, Van Hamond weer op podium
Daniel Cohen Jagielski won the second European Championship 65cc Central Europe in Valkenswaard. The Briton won both heats ahead of Luca Nierychlo. The podium is completed by Kash van Hamond (4-3), who managed to finish third, just like during the opening match.
1e some
When the starting gate for the first heat drops, Haakon Ronning takes the best start ahead of Mike Pijnen who takes over the lead when the Norwegian makes a mistake. A little later Jagielski passes by and cannot be traced. Pijnen has been in second place for a long time, but in the sixth lap Nierychlo passes. Pijnen comes third and is therefore the best Dutchman ahead of Van Hamond. He ran into problems in the initial phase and fell from 22nd place to fourth. Scott van den Boomen completes the top five on his home circuit. Bas Verspaandonk (8th), Daan Overveld (11th), Xen Temmermann (13th), Brett Kastelijn (15th) and Jann Huisman (20th) also managed to score.
2e some
In the second heat, Jagielski is in the lead for the entire race. Van Hamond follows close behind, but he makes a mistake in the sixth round and falls. As a result, he loses second place to Nierychlo, who crosses the finish line in second place. Van Hamond comes third ahead of fellow countrymen Pijnen and Van den Boomen. Huisman achieved a good ninth place, Temmermann (12th), Overveld (13th) and Kastelijn (18th) scored during this second round.
The last regional competition is on May 18-19 in Reutlingen, the semi-finals will be held on June 29-30 at the Siauliai circuit in Lithuania.
