Hudolejs wins Oldebroek, Heuver as leader to final
In a cloudy Oldebroek, Jekabs Hudolejs won the second KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 85cc. The Latvian finished first and second on the 'Circuit De Bargen', with the Hamstra MX Team rider taking the day's victory. Timo Heuver (3-1) can climb onto the podium together with fellow countryman Kenzo Jaspers. The Brabant crosser made the switch to the 85cc machine last winter and with success! Heuver is in the lead in the championship and he travels to the final with a lead of 31 points!

Hudolejs was easily the fastest in the time training and he also takes the best start for the first heat ahead of Heuver and Leok. Harry Dale also has a good start, but he loses a number of places on the way to the big table mountain. In the first lap, the leader in the standings takes over the lead. Leok is quickly put a few meters behind while Kenzo Jaspers and Torre Van mechgelen find each other early in the match. In the third lap the JP Xtreme Xperience rider makes a mistake, giving Hudolejs the lead back. Leok can also ignore 14-year-old Heuver, who still manages to fight back. This makes it even more exciting before the checkered flag falls, but a second mistake by Heuver means that he has to settle for third place. Hudolejs wins ahead of Leok, Heuver and Jaspers. The AK Bouw-Hutten Metaal Junior rider briefly lost fourth place to Ryan Opligger, but the Brabander is coming back! Jaspers rode a great race and finished fourth ahead of Opligger and Van Mechgelen. Keano Maris crosses the finish line in seventh ahead of the Israeli Itay Weinberg, the Swiss Jarno Len Jansen and the Norwegian Per Lynne Degvold completes the top ten.

In the second heat, Heuver managed to get the best start ahead of Hudolejs, who did not lose sight of the leader during the first half of the race. Jaspers comes third from the first round ahead of Degvold and Loek who quickly starts the attack. However, it does not go well and the Husqvarna rider crashes, leaving him outside the top ten. In the second half of the match, Heuver takes distance and wins ahead of the only 12-year-old Hudolejs. Jaspers can hold on to third place for the entire heat and then we have to watch Leok's performance. The son of former Dutch Champion Aigar Leok (2006) can still keep Jaspers off the podium, but it soon becomes clear that it will not work. Jaspers finishes third in this heat and in the daily rankings. The Norwegian Degvold rides the entire heat in fourth place ahead of Weinberg. Leok comes very close to Weinberg, but the 14-year-old rider is not surprised. The 12-year-old Leok comes sixth ahead of the very strong Opligger who did not have a good start but managed to fight back. Jannes Vos now takes eighth place ahead of Maris and Toms Dankerts.
Next time
The third and final race of this championship will be held in three weeks, which will take place at the Markelo circuit.
