Jorge Prado also triumphs in Arco di Trento.
With a third place and a series victory, Spanish world champion Jorge Prado wins another GP. Romain Febvre squandered a possible GP victory by crashing while he only had to finish second in the second series. Jorge Prado increases his lead in the World Cup standings.
First series
Despite a new good start from Jorge Prado, he had to admit his superiority to Romain Febvre and Tim Gajser during the course of the race. Febvre wins ahead of Gajser and Prado.
Second series
Once again, Jorge Prado broke free from the first meters to a new holeshot. In the second corner, a well-started Herlings fell and had to work hard to make up places. Febvre and Flanders rode second and third.
Tim Gajser started in P6 and had to make up some places for a possible GP win. Febvre, just like in the first moto, immediately put pressure on the Spaniard. In the meantime, Herlings was doing a big recovery and was already on the 13de place after five rounds.
Febvre then shot himself in the foot by crashing in a corner and thus throwing away a possible GP victory, he had to start again from fifth place. Calvin Vlaanderen and Jeremy Seewer are now in second and third place.
In the meantime, Prado continued to run clear laps and thus added a new victory to his already impressive list of achievements. The Spaniard is also further ahead in the standings. Calvin Vlaanderen rode a fantastic heat and finished second ahead of Jeremy Seewer. Herlings reaches seventh place.
The next MXGP will be held in Agueda, Portugal in three weeks.
