Lielbardis surprisingly wins the ONK Sidecars in Oldebroek!
The Latvian duo Daniels and Bruno Lielbardis surprisingly won the second ONK Sidecars of this season in Oldebroek. With a second and first place they left everyone behind. Keuben/Rietman came second and Hermans/Van den Bogaart third on a very tough circuit, the Bargen in Oldebroek!
In the first heat, Keuben/Rietman won, with the Lielbardis brothers in their wake, who followed Keuben throughout the race and came second. The Leferink brothers initially also competed for the top spots, but stood still for a long time and therefore fell back. Wilkinson/Millard now finished third. Wijers was only tenth away, but finished fourth. Out of five it was Hermans/Van de Bogaart who had a difficult race. Already in the first lap they were involved in a traffic jam and the fender of the bucket wheel was broken. This did not make Ben van den Bogaart's job easy and they managed to take fifth place.
In the second heat there was no match for the Lielbardis brothers. Where others made some mistakes, the brothers did what they had to do and not only won the heat but also surprisingly the ONK! Behind Lielbardis, Keuben and Hermans were hitting hard until Keuben/Rietman went off hard! Miraculously, they were able to continue and finished seventh. Together with the victory in the first heat, they still finished second in the day's results. When Keuben dropped out, the way was clear for Hermans to become second and take third place in total. The Leferink brothers followed at a distance, who now had fewer problems and thus came third. The German Prümmer had a lot of bad luck in the first heat, but in the second they neatly took fourth place ahead of Wilkinson/Millard out of five who just missed out on the day's podium.
