Good start from Jannes Vos at DMoMX
After a very good winter period, Jannes Vos has started well at the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 85cc. The KTM rider finished sixth on the once again well-attended Harfsen circuit. The South Hollander was certainly satisfied with a fifth and ninth place. The victory went to Timo Heuver who managed to triumph in both heats.
1st heat:
The winter period had gone very well, the spring competition in Lierop and the first National Championships in Oss were both difficult competitions. The student's speed is good, but in the crowd he is often still too sweet for the competition. With a ninth training time on Sunday morning, Jannes managed to get a good starting spot for the competitions. The start of the first moto was good and that immediately put him in the top ten. He then works his way forward, the Alpinestars-clad rider takes third place halfway through the race! Ricardo Bauer follows Jannes throughout the match, but after more than ten minutes the Austrian passes. In the final phase, fast starter Jekabs Hudolejs comes back after a crash and takes over fourth place, making the Vos Racing rider complete the top five.
2st heat:
The second start is slightly worse, but thanks to good steering Jannes manages to come out of the first round in thirteenth place. After a mistake in the second laps, a spot is lost, but the 14-year-old rider then recovers well. He manages to work his way up to tenth place in the first half of the race over 20 minutes and one lap. This seems to be the maximum, but due to a mistake by Hudolejs, ninth place can be taken in the last lap!
Next time:
The Dutch Masters of Motocross continues on Easter Monday (April 1) at the Oldebroek circuit. The first competition of the European 85cc Championship is on March 30 and 31 in Denmark.
