Injury update about Jago Geerts
The MXGP season has started poorly for some compatriots as two Belgians were eliminated yesterday during the qualifying heat in Argentina. Just after the first corner, three riders came into contact with each other and crashed. Brent Van Doninck was taken away with a fractured femur while Jago Geerts was taken to Bariloche Hospital for examination.
An elbow fracture and a broken collarbone were diagnosed there. It is clear that Geerts will have to miss a number of GPs. He started this year as a rookie in the MXGP class but will now have to focus on a quick recovery. Below you can see the video of the crashes during the start of the MXGP qualifying heat.
The first series of MXGP will be held later at 17:00 PM. The MX2 starts an hour earlier.
