World summit starts on February 4 in Riola Sardo
The international motocross season starts on February 4 in Riola Sardo, Italy. It is the first part of a diptych with many big names appearing on the bill as part of the Campionati Internazionale D'Italia.
Riola Sardo is located on the island of Sardinia, where a large group of world top athletes will complete their first competition meters of 2024. For example, world champion Jorge Prado, who returns directly to Sardinia from California, will participate together with Romain Febvre, Jeremy Seewer, Tim Gajser, Glenn Coldenhoff, Maxime Renaux and Jeffrey Herlings, to name just a few.
In Riola, the Dutch team Wilvo makes its debut with the Fantic 450XX with Glenn Coldenhoff and the 450 debutant Roan van de Moosdijk. Jago Geerts will also be there on board the Yamaha YZ450F, alongside his teammate Maxime Renaux.
Tim Gajser and Ruben Fernandez ride the HRC Honda while Alberto Forato makes his debut on the Honda of the Standing Construct MXGP team. Jeremy Seewer also makes his debut in green and prepares for the new season with the Kawasaki alongside MXGP vice world champion Romain Febvre.
In MX2 the list of top riders is enormous and is led by world champion Andrea Adamo. Simon Längenfelder, third in the 2023, will do so together with his new teammate Marc-Antoine Rossi. Lucas Coenen, one of last year's biggest talents, will start in Riola Sardo.
The races will also be broadcast live this year on Federmoto.TV, with the voice of Roger Warren and reporter Lorenzo Resta.
