The Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Team will make the transition from the MX2 to the MXGP class this year. Moreover, Jago Geerts is making the same move due to the age restriction in MX2 and the team is also moving into a new building this year.
The Yamaha MXGP team with Calvin Vlaanderen, Maxime Renaux and Jago Geerts has big ambitions and wants to show them next weekend during the opener of the season on the island of Sardinia. These are reasons enough to have coffee with team owner Hans Corvers and ask him the questions that were on our minds.
