VIDEO: A test of the brand new Yamaha YZ250F
The 2024 Yamaha YZ250F is all new. Last year the YZ450F received a major update and now it is the turn of its smaller brother. The '24 model has an updated engine with a completely new camshaft system and a new, larger air intake. In addition, it has all the updates that the YZ450F received last year, such as the new frame, sleeker bodywork and more.
The all-new chassis comes straight from the excellent YZ450F, which won numerous MXGP and Supercross races in its first season. With revised geometry and a repositioned head tube, the bilateral aluminum frame's lower center of gravity and improved stiffness balance allow for more agile cornering and quick changes of direction.
Another big change on the 2024 YZ250F is the all-new, compact fairing with ultra-thin screens and a much flatter saddle profile for quick weight transfer. There's also a new high-efficiency air management system and a revised ECU that enhance the top performance of the responsive 250cc four-stroke engine, while the new version of the Power Tuner app has an intuitive “Quick Tuning” function.
