Entry lists Supercross Paris
The 40th Paris Supercross is scheduled for this weekend. The Paris la Defense Arena will once again be buzzing with excitement because many big names are on the participant lists.
In the 39 previous editions, the Paris Supercross has honored twenty-six different 'Kings', from American David Bailey, crowned in 1984, to last year's winner Ken Roczen. Will Roczen follow in the footsteps of Johnny O'Mara, Jean Michel Bayle, David Vuillemin, Andrew Short and Marvin Musquin by successfully retaining the title? The German is, just like last year, one of the favorites, but he faces tough opposition, led by the Australians Jett and Hunter Lawrence and the Americans Cooper Webb and Justin Brayton.
Their showdown will be one of the highlights of this edition, as Jett and Hunter make their 450 class debuts on a real Supercross track, while Cooper Webb competes in his first SX race since signing with Yamaha. Opponents of this five are the Americans Justin Hill and Justin Starling and the French delegation led by Cédric Soubeyras, Greg Aranda (winner last weekend in Stuttgart), Jordi Tixier and Thomas Ramette.
Our compatriot Julien Vanstippen will again be exuberant during his FMX show. Also notable is the participation of two electric Stark Vargs. American Josh Varize and Frenchman Thomas Do will debut on these machines in the SX2.
The match will be broadcast live via www.MXGP-TV.com. French speakers can watch live via www.automoto-lachaine.fr.
