Marc-Reiner Schmidt reigns supreme and takes the world title
The final of the FIM Supermoto World Championship in Mettet was dominated by the duel between Marc-Reiner Schmidt and Lukas Hollbacher. The German came to Mettet with a three-point lead and managed to take control of the match. The TM rider won all heats and celebrated his third world title during the Superbiker weekend! Lukas Hollbacher (2-2-2) and Steve Bonnal (4-4-4) were on the podium with Schmidt.
Romain Kaivers was the best Belgian, he finished seventh in the overall standings, while road racer Barry Baltus also impressed. In the first race he even finished sixth for Kaivers!
