ONK Sidecar and Quad final on Sunday September 24 in Lierop!
This coming weekend the absolute Masters final for the Sidecars will follow in Lierop, with the Quad Masters also on the program, which will hold their final competitions a week later in Lichtenvoorde, Gelderland, but for which the decision may also be made in Lierop.
In the last days before the races, the Sidecars will make the final straight line to Lierop, where everyone will once again be presented with very exciting races on one of the toughest circuits in the world!
In the Quads, the battle is between Joe Maessen and Rick Haverdil, who are currently twenty points apart. The Belgian Jan Vlaeymans follows immediately with 10 points behind Haverdil in third place.
For the ONK Championships of the Sidecars, classification captains Koen Hermans & Ben van Den Bogaart already did very good business this year by collecting the maximum number of points in the first half of this season.
With 33 points, Justin Keuben & Dion Rietman are currently in second place in the general classification. Just one point behind team Keuben, Etienne Bax & Ondrej Cermák follow, which will ensure exciting matches in the battle for the first and second places. The numbers 4-5-6 Gert van Werven & Aivar van der Wiel, Frank Mulders & Marc van Deutekom and Tim Leferink & Sem Leferink can also provide the necessary tension, because they are only ten points apart. The last two currently have the same number of points in the overall championship standings.
Stephan Wijers & Loet van der Putten, Thom van De Lagemaat & Han van Hal, who are separated by a total of 19 points with a tension of seventh and eighth places respectively, are two local combinations that will want to ride the stars of heaven. Three places further on we find Haske Hurkmans & Robbie Bax who also want to shine in front of the home crowd and hopefully racing driver Bax has recovered sufficiently after their crash in the German GP last weekend. Who has recovered sufficiently is Lieropse Bakkenist Nick Maas. After a tough rehabilitation in which many would give up, Maas is now back and will be on home turf alongside Patrick Greup to show who he is! These four sidecars of local heroes will shine in front of their own audience on the very tough sand track of Lierop.
Nick Maas will start with Patrick Greup at the NK Sidecars. The battle has not yet been definitively decided at the NK Sidecars, although Bens/Van Leuken are miles ahead of the competition. But in any case, the battle in the NK field of more than thirty combinations is always something to enjoy for enthusiasts! There is always excitement and spectacle in the NK Sidecar and many competitions are unpredictable and full of action and drama!
This also applies to the NK Quads in which a mix of experienced riders and young dogs cross their swords again for the day's victory in Lierop.
Everyone is welcome in Lierop on Saturday before the matches. The camping site is open from 16.00:20.00 PM and the party tent from XNUMX:XNUMX PM, where bartender and DJs Linda & Tim will provide the musical interpretation on the eve of the final competition.
On Sunday the training sessions start at 08.30:11.00 am and the matches around XNUMX:XNUMX am. The complete overview, pre-registrations, current program, time table, press accreditation, standings and the latest news about the ONK Sidecar and Quad masters can be found on the website of the Lieropse motorsport association.
Entrance fees for adults aged 18 and over are €20,00. Young people aged 13 to 17 pay €10,00. The event is freely accessible to children up to and including 12 years old.
