Valk and Karssemakers on stage in Arnhem
The eighth race of the European 250cc Championship was won by Andrea Bonacorsi. The Yamaha rider finished second in both heats on the Arnhem circuit, but that gave him the victory of the day. Cas Valk crossed the finish line in third place in the first heat, but he later lost five places due to too much noise! In retrospect, it cost him the day's victory. The Fantic rider comes second in the daily rankings ahead of fellow countryman Kay Karssemakers.
Not a good first heat for Jens Walvoort, but during the second heat the Brabander was good for ninth place. Kjeld Stuurman takes points again, sending his Brouwer Motors-KTM to thirteenth place. Unfortunately, the other Dutch and Belgians did not score.
