Hindersson beats Reisulis who takes the day's victory
Janis Reisulis has the seventh race of the European 125cc Championship Presented by FMF Racing at 'Circuit De Heeserberg'. The Yamaha rider finished first and second, which gave him the day's victory. Kasimir Hindersson (5-1) was able to climb more on the podium together with Mathis Valin (2-6). In the standings, the Latvian now has 31 points ahead of the French 125cc world champion.
Maximillian Werner takes off like an arrow from the bow after falling from the starting gate. The Fantic driver is followed by Valin and Nicola Salvini. In the second laps Valin makes a mistake and that gives the German some extra space at the front. Hinderson briefly moves into second place but Francisco Garcia takes him back. A lap later, the tall Finn manages to pass the Spaniard. The Motovation Motorsport rider then works his way towards the leader, who has a maximum lead of five seconds. It seems that Reisulis will join leader Hinderson, but he knows how to prevent that. The 16-year-old Hindersson wins the heat ahead of Reisulis. The Dane Nicolai Skovbjerg seems to come third after a nice battle with Garcia. However, in the last lap the JK Racing driver made a mistake and Garcia ended up third ahead of Skovbjerg. Werner comes fifth ahead of Valin. Gyan Doensen crosses the finish line in eighth place and fights back strongly. Douwe Van Mechgelen is now twelfth ahead of Roan Tolsma. Unfortunately there are no points for the other Belgians and Dutch, Damien Knuiman drops out early and has to walk back to the riders' quarters.
