Geerts takes pole, all Lowlanders in the points
Jago Geerts will start from pole position tomorrow during the eleventh round of the FIM MX2 World Championship. The Yamaha rider managed to win the qualifying race on the Lombok circuit, taking his fifth pole of the season. Roan van de Moosdijk follows the Belgian closely for about 15 minutes and the Husqvarna rider comes second ahead of Simon Langenfelder. Fourth place goes to World Cup leader Andrea Adamo, followed by teammate Liam Everts.
Rick Elzinga crosses the finish line in sixth place ahead of Kay de Wolf, who manages to pass the sick Thibault Benistant in the final phase. Sacha Coenen crosses the finish line ninth ahead of his brother Lucas, who also ate something wrong. Adamo increases his lead in the standings, he is now nine points ahead of Benistant.
