VIDEO: Julien Vanstippen does double backflip with hardpack landing
Julien Vanstippen reaches a new dimension by landing his first double backflip on unpaved surfaces and joins the closed circle of riders who can do this on hard pack unpaved landings!
After breaking his back at the end of December 2022, Julien devoted his full time to a good recovery and managed to get back on his bike and fit to ride in record time. His original plan was to attempt this at the X-Games Japan in May, but various logistical issues prevented him from doing so. He finished 7th.
On June 24, he headlined the FMX Show at the Auvergne Supercross in Clermont-Ferrand (France) at the prestigious Michelin Stadium which was sold out for the occasion. Some 15.000 frenzied French fans were privileged to witness Julien's first landing and cheered him loudly!
What a memorable evening for Julien that gave him even more motivation to achieve higher goals in the future.
