Mathis Valin wins at Reisulis' home!
For the third time in five competitions, Mathis Valin has triumphed in the European 125cc Championship. The GasGas rider finished second and first on the Kegums circuit, taking the day's victory. This was much to the disappointment of home rider Janis Martins Reisulis (1-2), who made things difficult for himself in the second round by not getting a good start. Maximilian Werner was able to climb onto the podium again, the German finished third after having a hard crash in Oldebroek last Monday.
Gyan Doensen is the best Laaglander, the KTM rider takes 16 points in Latvia while Ian Ampoorter impresses by scoring 15 points at the Motocenter Zelta Zirgs. Douwe Van Mechgelen still has to wait for his first EMX125 points, but that seems like a matter of time.
This championship will continue on June 10-11 at the Teutschenthal circuit for the German GP.
