The Bell Moto 9-S Banshee is the latest helmet with Flex technology
Bell is expanding its range of ECE 22.06-approved models for spring 2023, including the Moto-9s with Flex technology. The Banshee design adds to the number of versions now available.
The Moto-9S retains Flex technology designed to absorb energy linearly, but especially during head rotation in low, medium and high speed impacts. Technically, the Flex pad consists of three layers, the first under the shell in EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) for high-speed impacts, the second in EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) for medium-speed impacts and the last red layer in EPO (Expanded Polyolefin ) for low-speed impacts. An absorption zone between the layers of the pad reduces the energy transfer associated with head rotation during non-linear impacts.
