Jaymian Ramakers the strongest at the Meulebéék sports park
In Wanssum Jaymian Ramakers won the competition in the MX 2 Youth class. The rider of the German Sixtyseven Racing Team was the strongest in both heats at the Meulebéék sports park. Second place went to Alex van Weerdenburg with a second and third place in the heats. With a fifth and second place in the heats, it was Colin Willemsen who took the podium.
Dani Koot finished fourth with a third and fifth place, keeping Roan van Vegchel behind him, who managed to take fourth place twice. For number two in the championship standings Amani Saraç it was a day to quickly forget. During the time training, Saraç suffered a double fracture in his ulna and will be out of action for the time being.
First heat
It is van Koot who has the best start ahead of Ramakers, van Weerdenburg, van Vegchel and Eilers. In the first full lap Koot crashes and falls back to fifth place. Ramakers makes eager use of the space he has and quickly walks away from the rest. Van Weerdenburg, in turn, soon has a gap with Van Vegchel and behind him Koot quickly returns to fourth place. Willemsen follows behind at five seconds. Willemsen comes within one second of Van Vegchel and Koot halfway through, but the gap is quickly brought back to five seconds. Just past the halfway point of the heat, it is Koot who manages to outwit Van Vegchel and takes a lead. The positions no longer change and Ramakers wins the heat ahead of Van Weerdenburg, Koot, Van Vegchel and Willemsen.
Second heat
It is now Van Weerdenburg with the best start for Van Willemsen, Ramakers, Eilers and Koot. Even before crossing the finish line, it is Willemsen who takes over the lead. In the first round, Van Weerdenburg also had to let Ramakers pass him by. Koot slips and it is Van Vegchel who now comes through in fifth. Ramakers quickly takes the lead and slowly but surely drives away. In the meantime, Van Weerdenburg has already had to leave a gap and it is well behind Van Vegchel who has moved up to fourth place. Eilers quickly fell behind in fourth place and halfway through the heat he had to deal with a Koot fighting back. The more Koot passes him, the top five is made. Ramakers wins again. Now it is Willemsen who finishes second ahead of Van Weerdenburg. Van Vegchel finished in fourth place and Koot was three seconds behind in fourth place.
