Doensen fifth, Valin wins first heat
The first heat during the sixth race of the European 125cc Championship was won by Mathis Valin. On the 'Talkessel Circuit' the Frenchman managed to emerge from the first corner as the leader. In the first full lap, Janis Martins Reisulis manages to work his way up to second place, but the difference with the leader is already 3,7 seconds. That difference is no longer made up and the GasGas driver wins. Reisulis comes second at 35 seconds, followed by Simone Mancini.
Gyan Doensen had a number of lesser races, but the Limburger sent his WZ-KTM to a nice fifth place. Damian Knuiman did well with eleventh place, while Douwe Van Mechgelen scored his first points thanks to seventeenth place. Ian Ampoorter (27th), Roan Tolsma (28th), Maxime Lucas (35th) and Brent van de Walle (37th) unfortunately did not score. Bad news for Maxi Werner, the German was third in the standings but he is ill and with a body temperature of 39c it was decided not to start.
