VIDEO: No flowers, but a backflip with mom
German motocross champion Luc Ackermann (25) gave his mother a special gift for Mother's Day: the first mother/son backflip on an FMX bike in history. Even if it was secretly her idea...
It doesn't always have to be flowers. German Luc Ackermann (25) gave his mother Melitta (55) a first for Mother's Day: together they became the first mother/son duo to land a backflip on an FMX bike. Normally a piece of cake for the X Games and FIM world champion, but with two on one bike very exciting of course. They took a big run-up, flew 8 meters high and 13 meters and landed safely on an airbag. Remarkable: the idea did not come from Ackermann, but from mom Melitta herself!
Melitta Ackermann runs a flower nursery in Mühlhausen in Germany together with Luc's father Dirk. A bouquet of flowers is therefore not very original. Flying at great heights and backflips are strange to her and she especially wanted to experience it herself.
