Simon Laengenfelder wins first series in Spain
German GasGas rider Simon Laengenfelder has just won the first series in Arroyomolinos. He won ahead of Jago Geerts, who had started poorly.
The holeshot in this first series of MX2 went to Thibault Benistant, who was followed by Simon Laengenfelder and Rick Elzinga. Kay de Wolf had started fourth and already defeated Elzinga on the first lap. Moments later, Benistant made a small mistake and had to hand the lead to Laengenfelder.
Jago Geerts did not have a perfect start, but after a few laps he was already fourth. Liam Everts then rode as 7thde round and Lucas Coenen as 9de. In the meantime, De Wolf had advanced to second place. But Jago Geerts had followed closely so that Kay de Wolf could not enjoy second place for long because it now belonged to our compatriot.
Laengenfelder systematically expanded his lead and won the series by a wide margin ahead of Geerts and Benistant. The second series of MX16 will be held later at 10:2 PM.
