Seewer wins French GP, Herlings drops out!
Jeremy Seewer won the French Grand Prix on the particularly difficult circuit of Villars Sous Ecot. The Monster Energy Yamaha MXGP Team rider won with a first and second place. Romain Febvre (3-1) is good for second place in the daily rankings ahead of Jorge Prado. Due to a broken right footrest, Jeffrey Herlings does not finish the second heat. Prado now has a 24-point lead with twelve games left on the calendar.

A very good start for Seewer who takes the lead ahead of Febvre and Prado. Ruben Fernandez is chased by Herlings who has quickly worked his way up to third place behind Seewer and Prado. The GasGas rider knows how to take full advantage when the leader makes a mistake. Febvre is clearly looking forward to it in front of her own audience because she takes back third place from Herlings! The KTM rider is struggling and sees his predecessors increasingly distancing themselves. After eleven minutes, Seewer returns to Prado's rear wheel and the Swiss' first attack is successful. The multiple vice world champion takes distance and wins the first round. In the second half of the race, Herlings comes back while Prado and Febvre fight for second place. The 28-year-old Herlings manages to pass both, but Seewer has already disappeared from view. The Yamaha rider wins ahead of Herlings and Febvre, who tries to increase the pressure on Herlings in the last lap. Prado finished fourth ahead of compatriot Fernandez. Flanders is good for eighth place, followed by Coldenhoff, Van Doninck and Brian Bogers. Bryan Boulard remains outside the points with a 27th place.
2e some
Once again Seewer wins the FOX Holeshot Award during the second round ahead of Prado and Valentin Guillod. Febvre follows but he quickly works his way to second place. Herlings started tenth and quickly worked his way to fifth place. He may have a problem with his glasses, which means he has to go to the goggle lane. Not much later, the curtain falls for Herlings because he has to leave the match early with a broken footrest. Seewer leads for 24 minutes but Febvre has a strong final sprint and the Kawasaki rider wins this second moto. Seewer comes second ahead of Prado, Fernandez and Flanders. Coldenhoff came in a respectable sixth place, while Van Doninck managed to take a good eighth place. Bogers again remains narrowly outside the top ten with eleventh place.
Next time
In two weeks this championship will continue at the Kegums circuit where the Latvian GP will be held.
