Jago Geerts under the knife today
The Balenian suffered a serious fall during the qualifying sessions of the French GP on Saturday and broke his left wrist. Today he is having surgery in Genk hospital.
Jago Geerts is operated on by orthopedic surgeon Joris Duerinckx. ZOL in Genk specializes in this type of surgery. The surgeon has been associated with ZOL since 2009. He practices the subspecialty of hand and wrist surgery within the orthopedics department. Last month he also repaired the fracture suffered by cyclist Tadej Pogacar in Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
Geerts will certainly miss the GPs of Latvia and Germany and hopes to be there again in Indonesia (June 25). The editors wish Jago a speedy recovery.
