Hermans/Van den Boogaart win the ONK in Rhenen
Koen Hermans/Ben van den Bogaart managed to win the ONK Sidecars in Rhenen with a double heat victory. Bax/Cermak played well and came second. The Leferink brothers took third place on the day's podium.
Willemsen/Van der Wiel and Van Werven/De Veene took the holeshot side by side in the first heat. Soon, however, it was Hermans who found himself at the front. The Leferink brothers finished second and held out against the oncoming Bax/Cermak, who stole third place from Mulders/Van Deutekom. Mulders finished fourth and Van Werven fifth. The second duo in the ONK standings at that time, Keuben/Rietman, unfortunately dropped out due to machine failure.
In the second heat there was the holeshot for Hermans who immediately had Bax and Keuben behind him. Bax briefly had the lead, but Hermans soon put things back in order and took back the lead. Slowly but surely, Hermans passed Bax, who in turn passed third man Keuben. That's how the sidecars reached the finish line. Leferink finished fourth in the second heat and scored enough points to take the final step of the day's podium. Wijers/Van der Putten then took fifth place.
