Cooper Webb starts in AMA Pro Motocross Nationals
A press release from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing yesterday released the line-up of all riders who will participate in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. It was surprising to find that Cooper Webb will also be at the starting gate on Saturday at the Fox Raceway circuit in Pala, California.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing will field a full squad in the 2023 Pro Motocross Championship, with Cooper Webb and Aaron Plessinger in the 450MX, alongside 250MX contenders Max Vohland and Tom Vialle.
Two-time 450MX supercross champion and former Cooper Webb will make his expected return to Pro Motocross this weekend, after being retired last year. The 27-year-old pilot was chasing his third career 450 SX crown when a crash in Nashville brought an early end to his indoor campaign. Now it appears that his doctor has given the green light for the Nationals.
Cooper Webb: “I am very excited to be at the start of the Pro Motocross series. I didn't do Nationals last year, so this will be my first time since 2021. I'm super grateful that the team and I can do it together and be behind the starting gate again. After my crash in Nashville I was able to take some time off to get back to full health and ready to go. Hopefully I'll get good results with the Red Bull KTM team this summer, we'll see where it takes us and I can't wait to see the fans again – I'm looking forward to getting back behind the fence!”
