Injury update Maxime Renaux
Maxime Renaux has given an update on his injury sustained in Spain. Like Eli Tomac in the US, he hadn't even crashed. It became a brutal weekend for Yamaha with their two top riders in both series now out of the title fight.
Maxime Renaux: It's hard to accept. Yesterday in the qualifying race in Spain, I lost the front in the rhythm section just past the finish and had to put my foot down to avoid falling. The result is a multiple fracture of the foot/ankle, I need to do further research to decide how the surgery should be done and how long my recovery will take.
I have had a lot of problems since the start of the season, got glandular fever at the beginning of this year and could hardly train on the bike from the end of January until now. I hurt my shoulder before Portugal and was really limited in strength in the last two GPs. I tried to fight through it, but now I need time to fix everything. Thanks for the support. My time will come, believe me.
