VMCF Appelterre: Matteo Puffet continues his winning streak
The opening match of the VMCF federation in Appelterre was a major success. More than 300 riders showed up on the difficult circuit where heavy rainfall had left deep ruts. Matteo Puffet (Motoland KTM) was once again able to dominate with a double series victory.
The 24 inters were started by Mark Boot, who immediately got Matteo Puffet and David Foguenne on board. After four laps, Puffet had enough and immediately left for a one-man show with only Mark Boot able to stay nearby. Defending champion Stijn Verstrepen had a poor start and came back to fourth place ahead of Karel Schepmans who had a long battle with Jeremy Renkens. Bryan Maes became the best MX2 rider in seventh place ahead of his teammate Maxime Colson.
In the final series, Puffet continued his victory march while the opposition crashed to the ground one by one. Jasper Van Der Mieren, David Foguenne and Mark Boot all made mistakes, but in the end Boot would still come second ahead of a regular Karel Schepmans and Jeremy Renkens The best CC-er this time was Dimitri Widar, who certainly did not miss his comeback. Finally, the youth super cup was won by Youness Tahere, who was able to keep Benne Bourleau and Lauris Verbruggen behind him. The first BK points will be handed out in Wambeek next weekend.
