Kay de Wolf plays pacman in Markelo
Like a true 'Pacman', Kay de Wolf 'misbehaved' on the Markelo circuit. The Husqvarna rider managed to win both heats in the second race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross. In the second moto De Wolf crashed at the start, but he came back from last place to the leading position. Rick Elzinga (2-3) and Roan van de Moosdijk (6-2) stand next to De Wolf on stage at 'Circuit De Herikerberg' where MC Ons Genoegen presented their audience with another beautiful day.

The best start in the first moto goes to Elzinga, but it is Andrea Bonacorsi who stays out of the crowd and takes the lead. The Hutten Metaal Yamaha rider is followed by Kay Karssemakers, Karlis Reisulis, Ivano van Erp who is passed on the inside by Roan van de Moosdijk. Then the eyes are focused on the 'out of the forest' because the sound in the 'Markeldrome' is getting stronger. The Italian returns to the picture as leader, followed by Yamaha colleagues Elzinga and Reisulis. Van de Moosdijk and De Wolf have passed Karssemakers who is attacked by Joel Rizzi. De Wolf is in a hurry because in the second lap he works his way to second place and takes the lead again one lap later. Elzinga tries to follow the leader, but after ten minutes the rider from Eersel takes distance. Haarup started the race outside the top ten, but the Dane is coming on strong. With four minutes left on the clock, Haarup passes the Italian Bonacorsi for third place. The distance to Elzinga is long and if the WZ Racing driver makes a mistake, Elzinga is safe. The KEMEA Racing driver comes second behind De Wolf and ahead of Bonacorsi. Haarup still tries to finish third, but he is unable to do so. Karssemakers completes the top five in this first round, while Van de Moosdijk finishes sixth after a fall in the second lap.

Joel Rizzi tries to get the best start on Jacky Martens' Honda, but the Brit goes wide. The Wolf seems to slip through, but he falls down and watches the field pass left and right while sitting on his buttocks. Haarup has made the best start but he sees Elzinga taking the lead. Bonacorsi follows in third place ahead of Ivano van Erp and the Spaniard Oriol Oliver. De Wolf comes out of the first corner in 38th and has to catch up and that is exactly what he is going to do! The Husqvarna rider came out of the first round in fifteenth place and then rode a hell of a race. Leader Elzinga tries to distance himself and seems to succeed until Van de Moosdijk takes over second place from Oliver. After fifteen minutes, De Wolf manages to take third place and moments after Van de Moosdijk has taken the lead, he sees his 18-year-old colleague pass. De Wolf also wins the second round and brings the crowd to their feet! Van de Moosdijk takes second place ahead of Elzinga. Haarup manages to decide a duel with teammate Oliver in his favor. The Dane is therefore again good for fourth place, now ahead of the Spaniard.
