Dani Heitink takes the most Easter eggs
Dani Heitink won the first race of the European 85cc Central Europe Championship on a sunny Lommel circuit. The Husqvarna rider won the day's classification with a second and first place ahead of Jarne Bervoets (1-2) and Dean Gregoire (4-3). With six Dutch people in the top ten, the competition went very well for the KNMV, and besides Bervoets, Lukas Spigeleer was the only Belgian in the points.

On Saturday Heitink won the qualification in the second group and after dropping from the starting gate he immediately took the initiative. The 13-year-old rider is followed by Bervoets, Dex van den Broek, Dex Kooiker and the German Neo Nindelt. He quickly sees Gregoire pass while Bervoets takes the lead on the first lap. The KTM rider tries to distance himself, but Heitink and Van den Broek have other plans. When Gregoire arrives in fourth place, the top three already have a small lead. The trio remains close together during the first half of the match, but then Van den Broek has to slow down the pace. This ensures that Gregoire finds the connection and he takes over third place on the seventh lap. A small mistake causes the 12-year-old to fall, causing Kooiker to take over third place. The leaders arrive at the laggards and that goes slightly better for Bervoets than for Heitink. The Belgian takes the victory ahead of the Dutchman and Kooiker manages to stay ahead of Gregoire in an exciting final phase. Van den Broek completes the top five. Timo Heuver comes back strongly from a position in midfield and finishes seventh. Jannes Vos scores a neat tenth after losing some places in the initial phase. Spigeleer (13th), Jaymian Ramakers (14th), Ruben van Hoof (16th) and Jeremy Bouchee (19th) also managed to get into the points.

Heitink also takes the best start in the second round, followed by Bervoets, Gregoire, Van den Broek and the German Simon Hahn. Van den Broek is clearly looking forward to it and the 12-year-old rider quickly passes Gregoire and moments later gets Bervoets behind him. The 14-year-old crosser from Paal manages to regain second place in the first full lap. The difference with leader Heitink is almost three seconds, but no matter what the crowd favorite tries, he cannot close the gap. In fact, Heitink, born in Zwolle, is running further and further away and is building up a lead of up to twelve seconds! The leader in the Dutch Masters of Motocross wins the second round on 'Circuit De Heeserbergen' and thus the daily classification. Bervoets comes second ahead of Gregoire, who passed Van den Broek in the third round. The Paez Racing driver finishes fourth ahead of F4E Racing driver Moritz Ernecker, who drives as an Austrian with a Belgian license. Kooiker had problems in the first round, but he fought like a lion and finished seventh ahead of ONK leader Heuver. Vos (12th), Jenairo Beerens (13th), Spigeleer (14th) and Ramakers (20th) finish this round in the points.
The next race won't be long in coming, next week the race will be held at the Slagelse circuit in Denmark.
