Jorge Prado wins first series in Frauenfeld
After a day of rest, it was business as usual in Frauenfeld. The first series in the MXGP class was a perfect match for Jorge Prado. He won this heat ahead of Maxime Renaux and Romain Febvre.
The holeshot also went to Jorge Prado. He launched his Red Bull GasGas to first place ahead of Mattia Guadagnini and Jeffrey Herlings. Home rider Jeremy Seewer already failed on the first lap on his Yamaha and had to restart in P30. In the second lap Maxime Renaux managed to take over third place from Herlings. At that moment Brent Van Doninck was riding around on a 19de place.
A little later it was Romain Febvre who was breathing down Herlings' neck. Meanwhile, Jorge Prado had created a lead of about 6 seconds over his teammate Guadagnini. Renaux visited him and had to leave second place to the Frenchman in lap 7. Just when he was back in the points, Seewer crashed a second time and once again had to work hard from the back.
In the meantime, Febvre continued to bombard Herlings' fourth place. In the ninth lap he succeeded and he referred the Dutchman to P5. Calvin Vlaanderen also had a plan and referred Herlings to sixth place. In the meantime, Romain Febvre had ridden to the back wheel of Guadagnini and wanted more. During the battle between the two, Guaganini fell and had to give up his spot to the Frenchman.
The Bullet continued to lose places and may have suffered from arm pump. Ultimately, he was able to hold onto sixth place until the checkered flag. Jorge Prado won the series ahead of Maxime Renaux and Romain Febvre.
