Horgmo ninth in the Grand Prix in Trentino
Kevin Horgmo of the F&H Racing Kawasaki team finished in ninth place in the fourth round of the MX2 World Championship in Arco di Trento, Italy.
In the first moto he came back from eleventh to ninth place in the first two laps of the race but then lost his rhythm, which resulted in him losing two places and finishing eleventh. In the second moto he had a solid race in which he finished in eighth place. With these results he finished ninth overall and is now eighth in the world championship standings.
Kevin Horgmo:
"It was a difficult weekend for me. The team works very hard to help and I'm sorry I can't reward them with good results. An eleventh and eighth place are not the results we are aiming for. I have to get my confidence back up and try to feel comfortable. We are now going home, training hard and making sure we are ready for Portugal.”
David Braceras rode a consistent first moto in fourteenth place, but lost three positions in the closing stages and finished seventeenth. At the start of the second moto he was involved in a crash and had to come back to the front from last place. He fought for what he was worth and managed to finish seventeenth again. Braceras is now fifteenth in the world championship standings.
David Braceras:
“I felt very good this morning and achieved seventh fastest time in the warm-up. In the first moto I couldn't get my rhythm. Then the crash at the start of the second moto. I was dead last and started to catch up. In the second lap another rider jumped into me and I crashed again. I gave it my all in the rest of the heat and managed to get some points. It is not the result I want, but we will work hard in the next two weeks to be ready for Portugal and achieve the results we deserve.”
