Vos Racing Team satisfied with first DMoMX
After three 'spring games', the season has now really started. The first race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross was held at the Harfsen circuit. The race went well for Jannes Vos, the South Hollander finished ninth in the daily rankings. The victory at 'Circuit t Peppelenbos' went to Dani Heitink.
Qualifying on Sunday morning went well and the KTM rider managed to set the fastest time in twelfth. However, the first start of the day is not good and Jannes is included in the backfield. From 25th place at the end of the first round, he has to fight back. Things are especially difficult in the first half of the match. Later, the crosser, which has been supported by TwinAir for years, gets into a better rhythm and it becomes clear that the top ten is feasible. A great final sprint ensured that the student crossed the finish line in tenth place.
Unfortunately the start of the second heat is not much better. In the first corner some riders get into trouble and Jannes is able to drive around them nicely on the outside. From 20th place he worked his way up to finish the race in twelfth place after 20 minutes and one lap. Tenth and twelfth place during the heats gave the KTM rider, lubricated by BO Motor Oil, a good final ranking.
The KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross continues on April 23, when the points will be distributed at the Markelo circuit. Next weekend the ONK starts at the Boekel circuit, followed by the first ADAC MX Masters (April 1-2) and the first EMX85 competition during the Easter weekend (April 8-9) in Lommel.
