Reigning champion Janis Reisulis is victorious
A perfect day for Janis Reisulis, the reigning KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 125cc will defend his title. The Yamaha rider won both heats in Harfsen without many problems. Kasimir Hindersson (3-2) came second ahead of the small but brave Damien Knuiman (2-4).
Last year, Gyan Doensen won the 85cc title in the KNMV Open Dutch Championship 85cc. Later in the season he even won the world title in Finland. The Limburger made his debut in this class and he immediately put his business card on the table. The KTM rider takes the best start and is able to hold the lead for four laps. Reisulis then takes the lead, while shortly before Maximilian Werner has disappeared from the match. The Fantic rider won both heats in Lierop two weeks ago. Hindersson takes second place later in the heat, over 20 minutes and one lap, but just before the end of the last lap Knuiman passes. The Gelderlander comes second ahead of the Motorsport Motivation driver from Finland. Doensen finished fourth ahead of Ian Ampoorter who rode a great race! Like Doensen, the Belgian is also a debutant in this class and the F4E Racing driver drives a smart race which earns him fifth place.
Reisulis got the best start in the second heat and never relinquished this position. Yet it is not an easy race because Hindersson follows for almost 15 minutes, just five seconds behind the leader! Later the difference between the two increases to almost ten seconds. Werner now crosses the finish line in third place ahead of Knuiman, who has a safe lead over Roan Tolsma. The Hofstede rider was also in the leading group in the first moto in the early stages, but unfortunately he made a mistake. Tolsma completes the top five in this round in Harfsen.
That our sport is still alive became clear in Harfsen where the HAMAC had the greatest difficulty in getting all the people to park. There were rows of things next to the circuit and that of course bodes well for the coming competitions on circuits that are also well attended!
The KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross continues on March 23. Then the series will be a guest at the Markelo circuit.
