Three new organizations provide an adapted VMCF calendar
The youngest motocross federation in the country underwent a huge facelift this winter and new chairman Ivo Peeters apparently provides a breath of fresh air at VMCF. No fewer than three additional organizations joined the calendar and due to the shift of Baisieux on the international calendars, the necessary adjustments were also made there.
The season now starts a week earlier than planned on the new Ninove-Outer circuit on March 26. On April 16, the VMCF members will travel to the same region again, because then the caravan will arrive in Appelterre-Eichem. Finally, due to the rescheduling of Baisieux, a date became available on October 01 and was filled by yet another new circuit in Ternat. There are currently three more organizers who have submitted their applications to the local authorities, which means that a number of more competitions may be added.
The youth activities are also running at full speed because no fewer than three international competitions were added for the youth riders of the VMCF. The successful Benedu Cup will be extended in 2023 with a race on May 06 in Horst, the Netherlands, on May 27 in Wisskirchen, Germany and October 7 in Lommel. To top it all off, there will be an IMBA European kids championship event in Aars, Denmark, on July 09, 2023.
At a national level, the Youth Work has adjusted the class division with Youth 1 for 50 and 65 cc riders up to 8 years old, Youth 2 with 65 and 85 cc small wheels and Youth 3 with 85 cc large wheels and Aspirants 125 cc. The VMCF championship runs over nine tests, with the opening on April 09 in Rummen. In addition, the JDS management again ensured a regularity criterion from the first to the last match. Finally, a super cup for youth will also be organized with a super final for youth, with the first test being held on March 26 in Ninove.
