VLM: The season starts this weekend in Lommel
The Arendonk club BeTeMo will take the lead and will organize the opener of the season on February 25 and 26 in the heavy sand of Lommel. It is the first of six races of the Belgian championship for the Inters 500, Inters 250, Nationals 500, Nationals 250, Juniors 250, Beloften 125, junior 85cc and 65cc KW.
Last season the Belgian title at the Inters 250 went to Dieter Vromans while Cédric Grobben managed to win the tricolor at the Inters 500. The dates of the Belgian Championship competitions were chosen this year in such a way that all riders from both the Flemish 'VLM' championship and the 'AMPL' championship can compete together with the international riders for the official titles of Champion of Belgium.
All riders holding a state, national AMPL or Europe Open motocross permit will score points towards the championship and are entitled to prize money. The first three games follow each other in quick succession at the beginning of the season. The complete calendar of the 2023 Belgian Motocross Championship (solo):
- 25-26/02 Lommel
- 4-5/03 Tessenderlo
- 11-12/3 Vorselaar
- 15-16/07 Nismes
