Stirlings Racing Team presents two new talents in Le Touquet
On the weekend of February 4 and 5, the Stirlings Racing Team will present two new talents during the world-famous beach race in Le Touquet, France. With the recruitment of Jeremy and Damien Knuiman, the team is expanding into the discipline of motocross and increasing its name recognition in racing.
The talents will be assisted by their father and manager Henk Knuiman and legend Cor Euser. The beach race in Le Touquet is an excellent indicator for the start of the 2023 season, which starts in mid-March. A top ranking is certainly not unthinkable.
Jeremy and Damien Knuiman
Despite their young age, the Knuiman brothers already have an impressive track record. In 2022 Jeremy won the Dutch title in the 250cc. This winter he made a lot of physical progress on the 450cc machine during the French Sand Championship. The switch to the 450cc class (MX1) is therefore a logical one. Brother Damien has won quite a few titles: Dutch and vice-European champion in various classes.
After an unfortunate period due to corona and injuries, he has picked up the thread again in the 125cc with a classification just outside the podium. Both brothers are eager to drive under the flag of Stirlings Racing Team. Jeremy: 'I am proud that I can be behind the starting gate next season in the black and white of Stirlings Oil!'.
The Knuimans
Knuiman is a famous name in motocross. For example, Henk Sr., Jeremy and Damien's grandfather, was a name to be reckoned with in the 60s and 70s. He was particularly suited to tough enduro riding.
Despite the physical and mental exhaustion, father Henk Jr. managed to finish the legendary Dakar rally no fewer than ten times, with the best result of eighth place in 2009. Meanwhile, the third generation of Knuiman, Jeremy and Damien, with their resounding results, are no longer to think away from this discipline.
Henk Knuiman and Cor Euser
Both talents are assisted by team manager Henk Knuiman and racing legend Cor Euser. For years the Knuimans competed for the MX Rookie Team of which Henk was the team manager. And successful. However, the drivers have outgrown their 'rookie' status and become serious young talents.
Henk expects a lot from the collaboration: 'Both drivers and team have the same ambitions, namely to become the best in their segment.' Legend Cor Euser plays an important coaching role in this. The Dutch icon has experience in multiple racing disciplines, has completed 1045 official races and has 25 championships to his name.
Stirlings Racing Team
The racing team is an initiative of Stirlings Oil, Legendary Lubricants. Stirlings is the leading Dutch oil manufacturer for the automotive and maritime industries. The brand has been active in racing sports since 2017. However, they have started a new chapter in 2021, called Stirlings Racing Team.
Under this banner, young talents are given the opportunity to develop into fully-fledged drivers in their own discipline. They do this under the guidance of legends who have earned their stripes in racing. With the arrival of Jeremy and Damien Knuiman, the team expands into motocross and significantly increases its brand awareness.
