VIDEO: How good is the new Husqvarna TC125 with injection?
The 2023 model year will bring a small palace revolution in the world of two-stroke motocross bikes. KTM and Husqvarna ditched the old-fashion carburetors and gave their two-strokes fuel injection.
The injectors are located on the throttle body and are controlled by the ECU. GasGas is now the only brand within the KTM group that still uses a carburetor on a two-stroke. In the 999lazer video, a Husqvarna TC125 is placed on the power test bench to see how much power the machine gives. A measurement is also taken with a modified Husky. This received a piston and cylinder head from VHM and an exhaust from HGS. Furthermore, the exhaust port was slightly reworked.
On the test bench, the TC125 in standard livery has approximately 2,5 hp less power than the similar 2022 model, but now has a little more power at the bottom. The modifications were mainly based on the search for more power in the highest speeds.
