VIDEO: A test with an electric DIY motocross bike
KTM, Honda, Stark Future, Kawasaki, Yamaha and some lesser-known companies build and develop an electrically powered dirt bike. However, today's test object is a one-man project by a handy Harry from the US.
Dain Sires is an engineer at John Deere and as a dirt bike enthusiast he started this project by welding the rolling chassis of a 450 Yamaha YZ2015F. Josh Mosiman and Dennis Stapleton of Motocross Action Magazine swung a leg over the machine and gave an honest impression about the driving qualities. And they were very positive. See for yourself.
