No DMX South competition in 2023
The KNMV announced yesterday that there will be no competition in DMX South district next season. Unfortunately, a worthy competition calendar cannot be presented. What consequences this has for participation in the 2023 final competition for DMX districts Central and North will be announced later.
No competition could be organized in 2020 and there were still many uncertainties when creating the 2021 calendar. For that reason, the 2021 season did not get off to a good start and there was less enthusiasm among riders to participate in the DMX South competition. This downward spiral caused an interaction between calendar and participation and has continued in 2022.
Despite attempts to turn the tide, this has not been successful in determining the 2023 calendar. The KNMV chooses not to present a forced calendar, with the result that the last clubs also lose their enthusiasm for this competition. How to proceed will be considered in the coming period, the aim is to ensure that before 2024 there is again a good concept for a competition in which riders would like to participate.
