World champions Bax/Cermak also together in 2023!
The bullet is finally in the church! Etienne Bax will defend his World title in 2023 with the Czech baking player Ondrej Cermak again at his side.
Ondrej Cermak indicated at the start of the 2022 season that he would ride for one more season. After 2022, he wanted to focus more on his work as an ambulance employee.
At the end of this season it was already cautiously announced that Bax and Cermak were still in discussions for 2023. Now that uncertainty has finally come to an end and it is certain that Bax/Cermak will also form a duo in 2023. Husqvarna and WSP also remain in the team Bax package. This means that the absolute trendsetters of the 2022 season will return to the field at the same strength.
This also means that Bax/Cermak are by far the favorites to win the World Cup title in 2023. It is up to the competitors, including Vanluchene/Musset, Hermans/Van den Boogaart and Van Werven/Deveene from the Netherlands and Belgium, to dethrone Bax/Cermak in 2023.
