Alex Salvini in the Dakar Rally for Fantic
Last year, the Italian manufacturer Fantic made its debut in the Dakar Rally with Franco Picco. They are now doubling down and signing Alex Salvini to compete in the upcoming Dakar which will be held in Saudi Arabia.
Salvini has tons of experience in motocross and Enduro and is the right man to work alongside Franco Picco in the team. Picco developed the machine and will participate in the famous Dakar Rally for the 2023th time in 29. Alex Salvini signed a multi-year agreement with Fantic this week to participate in various rally raids.
Alex Salvini: "I'm glad I made a deal with Fantic. The thought of being a brand ambassador and tester for such an important company is very exciting. I'm also happy to be involved in an off-road racing project. I have previously competed in competitions in various disciplines and the fact that I don't have to race solely for victory, but can also contribute to the development of the bikes, is all the more exciting. The Dakar Rally project was something I had thought about before, but I never thought I would find an opportunity like this so quickly. This is really great for me, it will be a new adventure and so I will have to learn and discover how to navigate in the desert and how to ride a rally bike. I want to start with the goal of reaching the finish line and gaining experience along the way, with the advice of Franco Picco and the entire Fantic team."
