Will Brent Van Doninck switch to a Belgian team?
Because the Riley Yamaha Team has chosen to participate in the MX2 class next year, our compatriot Brent Van Doninck will be without a team. It looks like he will be bringing news of a new team soon.
Van Doninck was very good in the MXGP class this year and got better towards the end. He finished fifteenth in the World Cup and that bodes well for the future. One of the teams that comes into the picture to acquire him is JM Honda Racing, the team of former 500cc world champion Jacky Martens. Henry Jacobi was not offered a contract extension for 2023, leaving a spot available. So we will have to wait a while for official news from Brent.
